Application: Caspase-1 Fluorogenic Substrate is designed for sensitive measurement of caspase-1, also known as interleukin-1β-converting enzyme or ICE. Caspase-1 is a key mediator of inflammasome activation and plays a central role in processing inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-18. Upon enzymatic cleavage, the AFC fluorophore is released, producing strong fluorescence detectable at excitation 370–390 nm and emission 500–510 nm. This substrate is widely used in inflammation research, pyroptosis studies, inflammasome signaling analysis, caspase-1 inhibitor screening, and biochemical assays measuring inflammatory protease activity.
