Application: H-D-Val-Leu-Arg-AFC is a fluorogenic peptide substrate designed for measuring glandular kallikrein activity. Upon enzymatic cleavage, the AFC fluorophore is released, producing fluorescence detectable at Abs/Em 380/500 nm. Kallikreins are serine proteases involved in inflammation, blood pressure regulation, tissue remodeling, renal physiology, and cancer-associated pathways. This substrate enables sensitive quantitative monitoring of kallikrein-related peptidase activity in biochemical assays.
