Application: Biotin-labeled PACAP-38 is the full-length amidated pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide modified with an N-terminal biotin tag for assay versatility. PACAP is a highly conserved neuropeptide closely related to vasoactive intestinal polypeptide and is a potent stimulator of adenylate cyclase activity. It regulates neurotransmission, glucose-dependent insulin secretion, neuroprotection, and immune modulation, including protection of T cells from activation-induced apoptosis. The biotin label enables immobilization, affinity capture, and receptor binding assays. Biotin-labeled PACAP-38 is widely used in neuroendocrine research, metabolic signaling studies, receptor pharmacology, and immune system investigations.
