Application: Thrombospondin-1 CD36 Binding Motif Peptide is a cyclized, thrombospondin-1-derived peptide representing a specific binding motif responsible for interaction with the CD36 receptor. Cyclization through a disulfide bond helps mimic the native structural conformation required for receptor binding. Thrombospondin-1 is a matrix-associated glycoprotein involved in angiogenesis, tumor adhesion, platelet aggregation, and metastasis. This peptide has been shown to competitively inhibit thrombospondin–CD36 interactions, platelet aggregation, and tumor metastasis. It is widely used to study angiogenesis regulation, CD36-mediated signaling, tumor progression, anti-angiogenic mechanisms, and metastasis-related pathways.
