Application: [Arg(Me2s)3]-Histone H4 (1–21)-GGK(Biotin) is a synthetic N-terminal histone H4 peptide symmetrically dimethylated at arginine 3 and biotinylated through a C-terminal GG linker and lysine. Symmetric H4R3 dimethylation is associated with transcriptional repression, chromatin compaction, and modification-dependent epigenetic regulation. The biotin tag enables affinity capture, immobilization, pull-down assays, and protein-binding studies using streptavidin-based systems. This modified histone peptide is widely used to study arginine methylation-dependent chromatin regulation, histone reader proteins, epigenetic enzyme specificity, chromatin-associated protein interactions, and transcriptional repression mechanisms.
