Application: [Asn7]-β-Amyloid (1–40) is a mutant amyloid peptide containing the Tottori-Japan mutation, also known as D7N, a pathogenic substitution associated with autosomal dominant Alzheimer’s disease. This mutation accelerates oligomer formation, enhances fibril seeding, and increases neurotoxicity compared with wild-type β-amyloid. [Asn7]-β-Amyloid (1–40) is widely used in Alzheimer’s disease research to study amyloid aggregation kinetics, toxic oligomer mechanisms, fibril formation, and structure–function relationships. This peptide provides a valuable model for investigating how specific amyloid mutations influence disease progression, neuronal vulnerability, and mutation-driven amyloid pathology.
