Application: Big Gastrin-1, also known as Gastrin-34, is a major bioactive gastrin peptide secreted by gastric G cells in response to food intake. It stimulates hydrochloric acid secretion from parietal cells through activation of the CCK2/gastrin receptor and contributes to digestive regulation by promoting histamine and pepsinogen secretion. Gastrin-34 is carboxy-amidated and may be partially tyrosine-sulfated, with amidation required for effective receptor binding. This peptide is widely used in studies of gastric physiology, gastrointestinal hormone signaling, acid secretion disorders, digestive regulation, and CCK2 receptor-mediated endocrine pathways.
