Application: Neurogranin (28–43), Biotin-labeled, is a synthetic peptide derived from neurogranin, a naturally occurring substrate of protein kinase C. The sequence AAKIQASFRGHMARKK shows strong specificity as a PKC substrate, with a reported Km of 150 nM and minimal phosphorylation by PKA or CaMKII. Basic residues flanking the phosphorylated serine are important for substrate selectivity. The biotin label supports capture and detection in kinase assay formats.
