Application: SN50 is a cell-permeable peptide inhibitor designed to block nuclear translocation of the NF-κB transcription factor complex. It contains a hydrophobic membrane-translocating sequence derived from Kaposi fibroblast growth factor fused to the nuclear localization sequence of the NF-κB p50 subunit. By preventing NF-κB entry into the nucleus, SN50 suppresses NF-κB-dependent gene transcription. This peptide is widely used in studies of inflammatory signaling, immune responses, apoptosis, cancer-related pathways, cytokine regulation, and transcriptional control mechanisms where NF-κB activation plays a central regulatory role.
