Application: Renin Substrate I FRET Peptide is a fluorogenic substrate designed for continuous measurement of human renin activity. It contains the natural angiotensinogen renin cleavage site, with specific hydrolysis occurring at the Leu–Val bond. The intact peptide uses intramolecular FRET quenching between DABCYL and EDANS, while renin-mediated cleavage restores fluorescence detectable at Abs/Em 355/500 nm. This substrate enables highly sensitive renin assays, kinetic analysis, and inhibitor screening. Renin Substrate I FRET Peptide is widely used in cardiovascular research, hypertension studies, renin–angiotensin system biology, and drug discovery targeting renin activity.
