Application: Human BNP-32 is a biologically active 32-amino-acid hormone produced primarily by ventricular cardiomyocytes in response to myocardial stretch and pressure overload. It is generated from a larger precursor through proteolytic processing that also yields NT-proBNP. BNP-32 counteracts renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system activity by promoting vasodilation, natriuresis, and reduced cardiac load. The peptide contains a conserved 17-amino-acid ring structure characteristic of natriuretic peptides. Human BNP-32 is widely used in cardiovascular physiology, heart failure research, endocrine signaling studies, blood pressure regulation, and investigations of cardiac stress and natriuretic peptide biology.
