Application: Beta-Amyloid (1–37) is a C-terminally truncated amyloid peptide generated during physiological processing of amyloid precursor protein. Although Aβ(1–40) and Aβ(1–42) are the dominant amyloid species associated with Alzheimer’s disease, shorter variants such as Aβ(1–37) contribute to amyloid peptide diversity. Aβ(1–37) displays distinct aggregation behavior and generally reduced fibrillogenicity compared with longer beta-amyloid peptides. This peptide is commonly used to study amyloid processing pathways, peptide length-dependent aggregation kinetics, beta-amyloid heterogeneity, neurotoxicity mechanisms, and the biochemical diversity of amyloid species in neurodegenerative disease research.
