Application: Biotin-Exendin-4 is a modified form of Exendin-4 featuring an N-terminal biotin label for affinity-based detection and receptor-binding assays. Exendin-4 is a potent glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist that stimulates glucose-dependent insulin secretion after nutrient intake. Originally derived from Heloderma suspectum, Exendin-4 shows greater stability and prolonged biological activity compared with native GLP-1. The biotin label enables immobilization, capture, and assay development for GLP-1 receptor studies. Biotin-Exendin-4 is widely used in incretin biology, diabetes research, metabolic regulation studies, receptor pharmacology, and ligand–receptor interaction analysis.
