Application: RyR2 (2460–2495) is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues 2460–2495 of cardiac ryanodine receptor type 2, a major calcium release channel in cardiac muscle cells. RyR2 mediates calcium flux from the sarcoplasmic reticulum and initiates excitation–contraction coupling in cardiomyocytes. Dysregulation or mutation of RyR2 is strongly associated with cardiac arrhythmias, including ventricular tachycardia and sudden cardiac death. This peptide is suitable for studies of RyR2 structure–function relationships, antibody generation, intracellular calcium signaling, cardiovascular disease mechanisms, cardiac physiology, and calcium channel regulation.
