Application: [Cit17]-Histone H3 (1–21)-GGK(Biotin) is a synthetic histone H3 peptide containing citrullination, or deimination, of arginine 17 to citrulline. This post-translational modification is catalyzed by peptidyl arginine deiminase 4 and can block CARM1-mediated arginine methylation, thereby suppressing transcriptional activation. The peptide includes a C-terminal GGK linker and biotinylated lysine, enabling streptavidin-based pull-down, binding, and interaction assays. [Cit17]-Histone H3 is widely used to study histone modification crosstalk, citrullination-dependent chromatin signaling, transcriptional repression mechanisms, PADI4 activity, and regulatory interactions between methylation and deimination marks.
