Application: Biotin-Glucagon is a full-length glucagon peptide corresponding to residues 1–29 and modified with an N-terminal biotin label for affinity-based applications. Glucagon is secreted by pancreatic alpha cells during low blood glucose and acts primarily on the liver to stimulate glycogen breakdown and glucose production. Dysregulated glucagon signaling contributes to hyperglycemia and metabolic imbalance in diabetes. The biotin modification supports receptor binding, immobilization, detection, and signaling assays. Biotin-Glucagon is widely used in endocrine research, metabolic disease studies, glucagon receptor pharmacology, diabetes research, and investigations of hepatic glucose regulation.
