Application: Histone H4 (1–25), K5ac/K8ac/K12ac/K16ac-Biotin is a synthetic histone H4 peptide tetra-acetylated at lysines 5, 8, 12, and 16, a modification state associated with highly active chromatin. Acetylation at these residues promotes transcription factor binding and supports transcription, DNA replication, and nuclear division. p300 mediates acetylation at H4K5, H4K8, and H4K12, while H4K16 is regulated by multiple acetyltransferases. The C-terminal GSGSK linker and biotinylated lysine enable affinity-based assays. This peptide is widely used to study chromatin activation, histone acetylation crosstalk, and transcriptional regulation.
