Application: Scrambled-beta-Amyloid (1–40) is a sequence-randomized control peptide based on the amino acid composition of native beta-amyloid (1–40). Although it contains the same amino acids as Aβ(1–40), its altered sequence disrupts ordered aggregation and prevents typical amyloid fibril formation. This peptide does not display the characteristic biological or toxic activities associated with native beta-amyloid.
