Application: 390 MMP FRET Substrate XI is a fluorogenic peptide substrate developed for monitoring matrix metalloproteinase activity. MMPs are zinc-dependent endopeptidases involved in extracellular matrix degradation, receptor cleavage, cytokine processing, cell migration, angiogenesis, and apoptosis. This substrate is efficiently hydrolyzed by MMP-8, MMP-9, and MMP-13, producing fluorescence at Abs/Em 325/393 nm. Hydrolysis is inhibited stoichiometrically by TIMP-1, TIMP-2, and TIMP-3, supporting specificity studies. 390 MMP FRET Substrate XI is widely used in enzymology, cancer research, inflammation studies, protease kinetics, and MMP inhibitor screening.
