Cys-TAT (47–57) is a cell-penetrating peptide corresponding to the HIV-1 TAT protein transduction domain with an added N-terminal cysteine residue. This cysteine modification enables conjugation to peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, or other cargoes while retaining strong intracellular delivery capability. Cys-TAT is widely used as a carrier for cellular uptake and intracellular transport studies. It has also been used in some studies as a PKCε inhibitor peptide. This peptide supports research in cell biology, peptide delivery, signaling pathways, protein transduction, oligonucleotide transport, and intracellular cargo delivery systems.
