Application: H-Gly-Pro-AMC is a fluorogenic peptide substrate for dipeptidyl peptidase IV, also known as DPP-IV or CD26. DPP-IV plays an important role in metabolic regulation by degrading incretin hormones such as GLP-1 and also contributes to immune signaling. Upon enzymatic cleavage, this substrate releases the AMC fluorophore, producing fluorescence detectable at Abs/Em 353/442 nm. H-Gly-Pro-AMC is widely used in DPP-IV activity assays, enzyme kinetics, inhibitor screening, diabetes research, metabolic disease studies, and biochemical investigations of DPP-IV function, hormone degradation, and therapeutic target validation.
