Application: gp100 (25–33) is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues 25–33 of mouse glycoprotein gp100, a melanocyte differentiation antigen involved in pigment synthesis. This peptide represents an H-2Dᵇ-restricted CD8⁺ T-cell epitope recognized by cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Because gp100 is expressed in normal melanocytes and melanoma cells, gp100 (25–33) is widely used as a model antigen in tumor immunology. It supports studies of antigen-specific T-cell responses, melanoma immunotherapy, immune tolerance, tumor-associated antigen recognition, cytotoxic immune activation, and vaccine strategies targeting melanoma-associated epitopes.
