Application: PUMA BH3 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the BH3 domain of PUMA, or p53 upregulated modulator of apoptosis, a critical pro-apoptotic protein in the p53 signaling pathway. PUMA interacts with anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 family members, including Bcl-xL, and cooperates with cytoplasmic p53 to regulate mitochondrial apoptosis. Upon activation, PUMA localizes to mitochondria, promotes cytochrome c release, and triggers caspase-dependent cell death. This peptide is widely used to study p53-mediated apoptosis, mitochondrial signaling, Bcl-2 family interactions, cancer cell survival, and programmed cell death mechanisms.
