Application: Tat-NR2Bct is a membrane-permeable decoy peptide designed to disrupt the interaction between the NMDA receptor NR2B subunit and postsynaptic density protein PSD-95. It combines the HIV-Tat transduction domain with the C-terminal PSD-95-binding motif of NR2B, enabling efficient neuronal uptake. By interfering with NR2B–PSD-95 coupling, Tat-NR2Bct modulates synaptic signaling without directly blocking NMDA receptor ion conductance. This peptide is widely used in neuroscience research to study excitotoxicity, synaptic plasticity, neuroprotective signaling, NMDA receptor-associated pathways, and mechanisms of neuronal injury or survival.
